Why fabric air ducts are selected for flower cold storage chambers
Every flower business owner needs to store flowers, which requires a cold room. It allows flowers to be kept in the most comfortable conditions possible. However, simply having an air cooler does not guarantee that flowers will be stored properly, as a strong flow of cold air can dry out the plants. Textile air ducts help to distribute cold air flows evenly and at a low speed, which creates the most comfortable conditions for storing flowers and helps to preserve their appearance for a long time. Flower cold rooms require a temperature range of +2...+6°C and increased humidity of 85-95% without condensation. The key task is to ensure uniform cooling without direct air flows that cause the petals to dry out and lose their marketable appearance. The permissible temperature difference across the chamber volume should be minimal, especially in multi-tier storage. The ventilation system should quickly stabilize the conditions after loading and ensure careful storage of sensitive products.
Stable temperature
Ensures uniform cooling throughout the storage chamber without temperature fluctuations. This prolongs the freshness of cut flowers and slows down the wilting process.
Protection from overdrying
Forms a gentle, distributed air flow without directed jets. Petals do not dry out, flowers retain their natural moisture and marketable appearance.
Humidity control
Maintains optimal humidity levels without condensation forming on packaging and shelves. Reduces the risk of mold growth and product quality loss.
Uniformity across height
Ensures the same microclimate parameters at all storage levels — from the lower tiers to the upper shelves. The entire batch of flowers is stored under the same conditions.
Hygienic design
Air ducts are easy to remove for cleaning and maintenance. The solution is suitable for cold rooms in wholesale bases, florist centers, and logistics complexes.
Energy-efficient cooling
Optimal cold air distribution reduces the load on refrigeration equipment. The chamber reaches operating mode faster and maintains the set parameters stably.
